The whole process from posting to confirmation runs inside one app. No calls. No cash. No uncertainty about who is coming or whether they have arrived. Everything is documented and every step is timestamped.
Every driver on HALA MOVE has their South African ID checked against the government database before they see a single job. Their vehicle is photographed and their roadworthy certificate is on file. When HALA MOVE tells you a driver is verified, it means something specific not a checkbox ticked, not a form self-filled. A real process with a real outcome. If a driver’s roadworthy expires, their account pauses automatically until they upload a current certificate.
Timestamped photos at every pickup and delivery. GPS trail that records every route. In-app status updates at each stage that cannot be backdated. Uchenna Ngubane is Co-Founder and CEO of HALA MOVE. He came to the problem from the business side as someone who spent years watching logistics deals fall apart, contracts get broken, and clients get let down by informal transport arrangements that had no accountability built in. He built the driver network, secured the first B2B conversations, and holds the vision for where HALA MOVE goes from Durban. His role is everything outside the product: growth, partnerships, recruitment, investor relations, and the expansion roadmap. He is the reason HALA MOVE had 200+ drivers committed before the app launched.
Eric Katwesige is Co-Founder and CTO of HALA MOVE. He built the platform every line of backend code, every real-time system, every piece of infrastructure that makes a live bid feel instantaneous and a delivery photo feel trustworthy. The same-day payment promise exists because he built payment infrastructure that supports it. The live GPS experience exists because he built a real-time system that handles it at scale. His role is everything inside the product: architecture, development, deployment, security, and the technical roadmap that turns today’s platform into tomorrow’s continental infrastructure.
